Model Review: Chuck Dogwood

Today we take a look at Chuck Dogwood who is a Guard class hero in Riot Quest and a Circle Orboros solo in Hordes. He comes in two metal pieces.

In my opinion he is the "wackiest" Riot Quest character when viewed from a Warmachine and Hordes perspective. I wrote a article about which Riot Quest minis fit in with the Warmachine and Hordes asthetic which you can find here if you are interested.

The body and left are all come as one part, making this one of the easiest to assemble Riot Quest models.

On his cape is an elvis inspired Storm Raptor in, I'm guessing rhinestones? It's going to be tough to paint I know that.

He has a real crazed look to him as if he has been off on his own in the wilds a little too long. The face and beard are well sculpted.

Unfortunately there is a pretty bad mould line which runs all the way from this wide of his hood, over the top of his head - down his arm and into the staff. It took a long time filling this to clean it up, which is a shame.

His Wold assistant and constant companion is a puppet on his right hand.  Its nicely sculpted for such a small thing but does suffer from mould lines as well sadly.

And here he is assembled and cleaned up. The time saved on assembly went into cleaning up the mould lines instead for this mini. Though once I filed them all smooth you can't really tell.

Here is the scale shot with Professor Pendrake, he fits in perfectly for scale... but not so much for Warmahordes in my opinion... BUT he is great for Riot Quest which is why I bought him in the first place! I think he looks like a really interesting guard class hero who brings placement abilities which really set him apart from the other guards.

If you want to pick them up for yourself you can find them here at The Outpost (a UK webstore I'm affiliated with)
