Model Review: The Four Horseymans

Today we take a look at The Four Horseymans, a Fighter class hero in Riot Quest and a Grymkin Solo in Warmachine & Hordes.
It comes in 7 parts, one of which is resin.

The resin part is the cloak for one of the gremlins, it is also the part which they all attach to when assembling the model.
The resin injection ports are at the bottom of the model and on a flat surface of cloth, both easy to trim off and file flat.

There is slight flashing on the mace head which is attached on one side of the cloak.

Here you can see the various attachment points for the gremlins and also the wheels for their "hobby horses"

This one is armed with a spear but seems to have the hat and horses head of Kraye the Cygnar warcaster. RIP Malagant...

It has a decent connection point on its back to attach it to the cape.

This one is based on Morvahna with her hat and goats head.

Pretty cool that one of the horns is snapped off, gives it a real feel of the unseen deaths of these characters before the Riot Quest timeline.

This gremlin doesn't have a peg attachment point, it just has a angled attachment. It actually attaches easily really.

This one is based on Reznik's second version on a chariot so presumably the horse is one of the ones that draw that.

The mask is really nicely detailed. Its going to be interesting to paint all these different factions colour schemes on a single model.

Slight flashing on the bottom of the reins, easy to remove.

Attachment point on the back of the gremlin.

Slight mould lines on the mane of the horse where a little difficult to remove I used a small rounded hobby file.

There is a little bit of flash on the sword here, easy enough to remove though. I found the attachment point of this arm to be really small and it kept falling off. It was too small to pin so what I did was glue the side of the sword to the head of the horse to have a second attachment point.
Since I glued it this way it hasn't came off again.

This gremlin doesn't seem to have headgear which ties it to an old caster, but the horse is recognisable as Goreshade's

Square hole on the back of the gremlin attaches to the resin cape.

This part was a bit tricky to attach to be honest, the best way I found was to attach the bottom of the stick the the gap between the wheels on the resin cape which will help line it up to attach the arm.

And here they are fully assembled! I would recommend attaching the gremlins in the following order to make it as easily as possible.
Far right - middle right - far left - middle left.
This was the way I found to make it as easy as possible. I did find that some of the parts like the foot of one of the gremlins is lower than the flat part of the resin cape which makes it tricky to glue to the base.
You can either bend the gremlins foot to fit or you can put some green stuff under the cape (this is what I did).

And here is the scale shot with Professor Pendrake
This is a really cool looking model, with barely any clean up the cast quality was really nice.
It is the hardest Riot Quest model to assemble to date, which might be a struggle for the less experienced in the hobby - board gamers picking it up.

If you want to pick them up for yourself you can find them here at The Outpost (a UK webstore I'm affiliated with)
