100% Mayhem Gear Expansion Painted

I painted these last year but got to a stuck point with the decoy gate. I wanted to paint the rear as if it was either corrugated cardboard or wood grain, however, I found that whatever I tried it didn't look good enough. So in the end I repainted it blank and gave up.

I did want the front to look like it has been painted so deliberately painted it in a sloppy way.

Here it is with a normal gate.

This surgery table was a lot of fun to paint, I wanted to make it look really well used and I think I managed it nicely.

The turret I found to be really quick to paint, but there isn't a huge amount going on with it to be fair.

The loot hoover was a nice mini to work on, it was the last of the gear I did the base coating on so I picked a main colour which was different than I used in the other gear models.

The portals were a pretty choice for colour schemes. If you know - you know.

Overall I'm glad to have put these into the display cupboard with the finished minis, they had been haunting my wip shelf for way too long. Making the choice to give up on the fake gate was tough but I think it was the right call for me as I wasn't having fun - and painting is supposed to be fun for me.

Using money from my generous supporters over at Patreon I purchased a rotating display stand. I like to put the money from supporters back into improving the content I make.
I'm hoping to get better at making these over time, one thing I know I want to save for is a better camera (I currently use my phone).
Please let me know what you think of this addition to my painted model articles.
If you like it please like, comment, and subscribe on Youtube it really does help with letting Youtube know it's a video worth suggesting to other hobbyists. (And it upsets Mike...)

If you want to support my content consider taking a look at my Patreon which you can find here. I don't put any finished content behind a paywall but I do offer rewards to people who support me in ways like getting to vote on what content I work on in the future or outright just picking the next subject of an article as well as posting wip projects.
Even if it's just $1 it really helps me out!

See you all next time!
