Model Review: Ledfoot & Tredz

Today we take a look at Ledfoot & Tredz, a Gunner class hero in Riot Quest and a Minion solo which is a Trollbloods partisan in Warmachine and Hordes. In Warmahordes the kit can also be used to make a non character version (You can bring two of the non character version as well as Ledfoot & Tredz) by not using the model popping out of the hatch and gluing the hatch shut. 

I was sent this model to review, paint and try out by Privateer Press, so big thanks to them.

The model comes in seven parts; three resin and four metal. 

The main body of the tank is resin and is nicely detailed, it includes the turret and the boiler at the back which powers the tank.

The drivers head is popping up out just below the turret, they are nicely detailed but I think they might be a little challenging to paint given how tucked in they are.

The boiler has some neat pressure gauge detailing, trying to paint red danger bands in them will be a fun challenge.

The under side of the tank has two resin injection areas. They are both on the flat surface and that makes them easy to clean up, and even if you mess it up a little they are on the underside so should be hidden.

The tank treads come on a resin sprue, I was careful to cut a slight distance from the parts themselves when removing them from the sprues to ensure I didn't clip too far and cut into the treads themselves.

They are really nicely details with deep recesses in which you can see the wheels that make up the tracks. 

These three small metal parts are the tanks hatch and the two rear wheels.

The wheels actually have the Trollbloods logo inside the wheel which is a neat hidden detail. These had slight mould lines which took a few seconds to clean up.

Ledfoot is a nice sculpt, the face is really well cast especially given its small size. 

And here the model is fully assembled! The tank is smaller than I expected to be honest, you have to suspend your disbelief that the two pygs would actually fit inside it! I believe that this is most likely a production limitation choice and the model might have originally been larger in size but got scaled down a bit. (Just my thoughts, nothing confirmed)

I really like the slanted tracks, they give it a sense of movement like it is rearing backwards as it charges forwards.

And here is the scale shot with Professor Pendrake, this really shows how small the tank can feel. Just as well its full of character! I'm mainly excited to use this model in Riot Quest, while I do have a Minions army I don't feel they fit with the visual theme of my Gatorman army. 

They do look like a ton of fun in Riot Quest though!
